Tag, You’re It. Buzzoodle Ron Turns Me On to a Blogging Game

December
Ron McDaniel (Buzzoodle Buzz Marketing Blog) tagged my blog in a virtual “getting to know you” blogger game. Since I’ve been tagged, I’ll post five things most people don’t know about me below. I’ll then tag five other bloggers and encourage them to do the same.
Thanks for including me Ron!
Most of you may not know:
- I am a pretty accomplished musician/singer/songwriter. I play piano and keyboards pretty much by ear.
- I speak Spanish.
- I once talked my way on to Willie Nelson’s tour bus and hung out with his band for the day.
- I love to cook.
- I’m a sucker for a low-grade horror flick.
And now to tag five other bloggers, thus spreading this “virus.” Hopefully they will do as I’ve done, thus helping us all discover new and exciting blogs.
Lorraine Ball, Jose Castillo, Ann Handley, Andy Wibbels, David Meerman Scott

A guy who loves to cook! I’m swooning…!
Thanks for the holiday tag. I am sincerely flattered.

Don’t swoon too quickly Ann. You haven’t tasted my cooking!
3. David Meerman Scott | December 20th, 2006 at 4:21 pm
How cool. I’ll get cooking on a post now so I can spread the love. Thanks for thinking of me!!
All the best, David

I can totally see a B horror movie script out of this. A cook/musician sneaks onto Willie Nelson’s bus only to find out they have all been turned into zombies with snakes that speak Spanish.
Snakes on a Tour Bus
Thanks for passing the love along.
Feliz Navidad!

This has really been a fun exercise. I’m excited that my readers will be exposed to five very good blogs that they might not otherwise have known about!

[…] You can bet Paul probably didn’t write this concerning bloggers linking to each other but the concept is the same. I have been tagged by Tony over at GreatBigPodcast.com. Based on an idea that seemed rather “cheesy email questionaire-ish” to me at first but I think is actually pretty cool. You tell 5 things about yourself someone probably wouldn’t know and then “blog tag” 5 other folks to do the same. Seems to be spreading pretty far and it is the holiday season so how can I resist. I know we all have that friend or relative that sends us the email question list (every day) with 600 responses that you HAVE to fill out and send on to 10 friends or all your hair will fall out and you will get planters warts. But this seems a bit more reasonable and a great way to introduce you to some friends of mine. I want to change it up just a bit and offer 5 things and 5 friends that are resources for me and tell you why I read their stuff. […]

Thanks for including me on the list.
What most people don’t know about me:
1) I hear music through the bottom of my feet. I’m tone deaf, so it is all about the rythmn and the beat!
2) I speak Hebrew, badly. I had to learn so I could teach English as a second language in a small town in Israel.
3) Although I still think of myself as a New Yorker, I have actually lived outside of NYC most of my life.
4) My all time favorite movie is Singing in the Rain, and I think Donald O’Conner was a much better dancer than Gene Kelly.
5)I was going to be an accountant.
Some of my favorite blogs:

[…] That question is often “How can I bring more traffic to my website?” As I begin to explain the very basics of search engine optimization, link baiting, backlinks and the like, I usually see my prospect’s eyes glaze over by about the fourth sentence. People in “conversation mode” often aren’t prepared to really learn something in-depth. […]
