Episode 10 {Network Your Way to the Top with Lorraine Ball}
13
September

Local business networking legend Lorraine Ball was an absolute joy to have in the studio. Our lengthy interview covers many of Lorraine’s ideas on how to best spend your time and resources connecting with top prospects and referral sources.
I got a chance to ask Lorraine about her concept called “The seven second sound bite.” It’s true that you only have a few precious moments to make an impression on a new prospect. For another perspective, Former CEO of LeTips, Patrick Carney, has a good blog post about how to deal with the time-crunch surrounding a first impression.
Make sure to check out Lorraine’s various online resources:

This post is written from a recruiting perspective, but the ideas apply to referral building in general.

Lorraine is a real pro. I love the tips for attending networking events.
Also, I have always held my cards closely when it comes to communicating with competitors. It was honestly eye-opening to hear her speak about not only meeting & eating with your competition, but to share ideas with them. I can see how it might even help knowing how you can compliment one another.
GREAT EPISODE!
PS: I would like to hear more on business marketing.

Rob,
Glad you liked the show. I agree - Lorraine is great. You won’t have to wait very long for more business marketing content on the podcast. We just did a terrific interview with an expert in the up-and-coming field of “Buzz Marketing.”
I won’t tell you who it is. You’ll have to wait for the show to go live. Thanks for the kind remarks!

I was listening to your pod cast. Then read this;
For another perspective, BNI founder Patrick Carney has a good blog post about how to deal with the time-crunch surrounding a first impression.
Patrick Carney was not the founder of BNI, he was CEO of LeTips, Dr. Ivan R. Misner is the Founder of BNI.
good job on the interview!
